Blog Post #6 | Jabro Games | jabrogames.com
As awareness of environmental responsibility grows across all sectors, manufacturers are increasingly expected to demonstrate a commitment to sustainable practices. At Jabro Games, we take this responsibility seriously and continuously seek to minimise the environmental impact of our vacuum forming operations.
Material Selection and Recyclability
We actively advise clients on the selection of materials that align with their sustainability goals. PETG, for example, is widely recyclable and an excellent alternative to less recyclable plastics. Where applications permit, we can also work with recycled thermoplastic sheet to reduce reliance on virgin materials.
Waste Reduction
Trim waste is an inherent characteristic of the vacuum forming process. We work to minimise this waste through careful nesting of parts and efficient sheet utilisation. Trim offcuts are segregated and directed to recycling wherever possible, keeping material out of landfill.
Energy Efficiency
Modern vacuum forming equipment is considerably more energy-efficient than older machinery. We invest in maintaining and upgrading our equipment to ensure that energy consumption remains as low as possible without compromising product quality or consistency.
Packaging
We are committed to using recyclable and minimal packaging for our deliveries. Where protective packaging is required, we prioritise materials with good environmental credentials and avoid single-use plastics wherever alternatives are available.
Jabro Games is committed to growing as a responsible manufacturer. If sustainability is a priority for your project, we would welcome the opportunity to discuss how we can best meet your requirements. Visit jabrogames.com to get in touch.
